Alice - a short existential poem by Panagiotis Protopsaltis and an accompanying ink drawing of a dog called Alice eating and talking to a caged bird on a mantelpiece...

Alice has no home

she does not do the things that

give substance or take account

merely being there is what she does

but nothing comes of it

and the days pass and the nights

are long and dark. She is in

possession of great darkness and

wont get relief -

All things exist for no purpose

Humans have no purpose - animals have no purpose

everything eats and gets eaten that is for sure.

Everything dies that’s it

Nothing else happens but this simple fact

The only law in the Universe that cannot be contested

because no-one comes back from death and this

is a reason for CELEBRATION
